Our YouTube Channel

So, many of our friends and family have no idea that we have a YouTube Channel.  Except for the Dolphin video, every other video is of Declan, but since he's the pride of our hearts and the cutest in our family, we display him proudly.

Once a month.... maybe

Well we have been kinda busy around here so I give myself a little bit of reason for being such a bad poster. I am still working at Target a couple of nights here and there and then I got an other job being a Nanny every other week for a couple of 9 year kids.  I can't complain because I can bring Declan with me if I want and James too.  The kids are good and pretty easy to hang out with but they both have their moments of being a nerd but what kid doesn't   James is still with Lifelock and he is working on trying to get management so we are praying and keeping fingers crossed for that to happen. We are both working hard and playing just as hard if not more.   Here is a couple of pictures to show what we have been up to.

We swim lots, eat popsicles lots, play with cousins, and watch tons of Yo Gaba Gaba and Backyardagains.

My Handsome Boy

I know everyone says their kids are the cutest they have ever seen but really how could that sweet little man not be so stinking cute.  He melts my heart with his sweet little small, the look he gets just before he does something naughty, how he already knows how to play with cars and make all the car noises.  I love that little man so much.  He can make a horrible no good very bad day a wonderful one just by giving my a kiss or a little snuggle.  He knows when he his mom needs one of those.  He is learning and growing everyday and I am so excited to see what the future holds for him because he will do great things.

Wobbly Walker!

Yes that is right Declan is now our wobbly walker. He started really trying on Sunday the 25th when James and I would try to get him to walk between us. I must say I could watch him all day long. He is still figuring it out and gets mad when he cant get up but he is so dang cute when he waddles around. He is learning so much everyday like what "no" and "bring that to mom" means. We are still working on those but in time we will get them down and I am sure he will turn them around on me and tell me "no".

One Year Old....

Declan turned One on the 11th and that was a bitter sweet day because he is growing up and not so little anymore but oh so sweet to see how much he has grown and to see how much more he has to go. That little Dude just wiggles right into your heart and you just love him so much. Since Declan was born we always talked about how such a boy he is and that everything he does just screams boy. It couldn't be more true then when he is playing with Miss Kate and she comes out carrying a spoon and Declan comes out pushing a car making the "car noise". I so lucky to have him.

We did a little pirate party for him, well little is an understatement. We had over 30 people there because we had a ton of family come in from out of town and it all just happened on the same day. He got some sweet toys like a hot wheels car holder, raceway, cute clothes and some shoes. He wont remember this day but I always will and I think that is what first birthdays are all about. They are more for moms and that she made it through this first year in one piece and no one died. We had so much fun but it goes way to fast. What will the next year I have no idea but I am sure it will be just as great and Declan will get into even more trouble.

Random

Here is a little random post about what is going on. I know these pictures are not to recent but I just love my little man. I need to do better on writing but I feel like 1. not much goes on with us and 2. I am not a very good writer or speller. I know that those are not very good reasons but i use them.

Declan is growing every day. He is already about of the bucket car seat and into the bigger ones where he gets to face forward. I know we are a month earlier but he loves looking forward and a happy baby makes a happy mom. He is only walking when he is holding onto things but we can tell that any day he will take off. He is very fast crawler and I think beating mom to the stairs is more important than walking right now. His cousin has been walking for awhile and I think he is starting to wish he was more like here too. He is the best little man we could ever ask for. He says mum and dad but only when he wants something haha. He loves bath time and will stay in there even when the water goes cold. I can not wait for this summer when we can put him in the pool and let him hang. Mom and dad have a sweet salt water pool and I can tell you it will be used tons.

We went to the mall to see Santa but the line was super long and you had to pay $25 so we didnt see him and went to Bass Pro shop and got a picture for free.

I know I know........

I am by far the worst blogger ever. I love to read others and see what is going on with them but then I feel like I am out of time for me. Well maybe that is just an accuse but don't judge I have been busy.

I know I have lots of catching up to do since Oct so I guess I can start and say we had a fun first Halloween. Declan was a farmer in cute overalls and a plaid shirt, then he was a monster and last but not least he was bat man. We went to two Halloween parties and he had to dress up on Halloween. It was fun and very low keys. We did our ward party and got to see all the cute kids dressed up and did Bobbi's ward party and got to hand out more candy and see more kids. On Halloween we hung out at mom and dad's house in the drive way and handed out candy and ate soup. Declan also started really moving in October and he did a funny little crab crawl as Grandma Hoopes calls it. He is growing up way to fast for my liking.

November was an eventful month full of tons of things to be grateful for. We did dinner over at Bob's with the whole family minus those that live in Ca but we did miss them tons. Us girls broke out the ads after dinner because we needed to make our plan of attack for black Friday shopping. Poor us all got the flu from throwing up in Walmart to leaning out the car door at Target. We got all the shopping done even though poor Bethany had to go home because she was so sick and I had to call it an early night because James had to go to work at 4 and I was throwing up too. It was a fun night none the less but next year we hope to not get sick and really show them what the Hoopes girls are made of.

December started off a little rough and I can honestly say that it was the worst month by far this past year. Now many of you may know me and my love for Christmas and how excited I get in like July for it to get here but this year was not so good. When Christmas finally got here it was great but leading up to it I could have done without. I am so thankful for my family and friends and all the love that they shared with me and how helpful they all were. I know I wasn't the most fun this year but next year at Christmas I promise it will be better.

January was a good month because it was Birthday month for me and I lived it up. We got to go to California and to Las Vegas so it was fun and busy. James surprised me and stayed home from work to just hang out which is what we did. He got me flowers and a beautiful necklace which i just love.

I am now a part time Target employee. Yea for me and my sweet discount. I really like working there. I only work a few nights a week and it is just enough to take some stress off the bill paying. I am sales floor so I pretty much walk around and make the clothes look nice and put back everything that someone else ditched along the way. I think it is fun to help people and see what they are buying and I also have just been trained in cashiering which is fun too because I get to see what everyone is buying. If you know me, you know that I love to know what is going on and maybe a little noisy but I don't see it as a bad thing. I full embrace it. HAHA!

James is still at LifeLock but wants to find a better job because he is sick of being on the phones and who could blame him. He is always looking for a good job so if you hear of anything let us know. He is working hard and being a wonderful husband and dad.

We are still working on the house which feels like a never ending story and I am not a huge fan of cleaning but I have been working on getting better. I like to play to much to clean but I am working on it. So forgive me if my house is a little on the not so pretty side. haha.
